1983 Kawasaki Green KZ-1000 R Eddie Lawson in The Colony, TX

I purchased this bike from estate of the original owner. Bike was titled in his nephew's name for title transfer purposes only. I received the bike in non running condition because of a faulty fuel tank (rust holes). Upon purchase I went about getting the bike into running condition. An OEM '83 KZ1000R fuel tank was sourced, as well as a petcock. The petcock is the only non OEM part on the bike as far as I can tell. Carbs were cleaned and she fired right up. Engine sounds great like a 2930 mile bike should. No leaks. I believe it is still on the original tires (both which leak and are in rough shape will need to be replaced). I have included a walk around/start up video. Please take a look at it and the included pics. I have tried very hard to point out all of the flaws on the bike. This would be a great candidate to either restore or replace tires/chain and ride like she is. The original tank will be included. I think it can definitely still be saved but will require the help of a skilled professional. All problems are on bottom of tank. No dents. The replacement tank has a slightly different blue in the stripe than the rest of bike. I have seen many other ELR's with this color of blue and believe it to be OEM paint but cannot be certain.
